saddles please help

Depends on your horse and his conformation, no one on here will be able to give you definitive advice. The best thing is to talk to a saddler about your needs.

Treeless is often preferable for "difficult to fit" horses.

I sell treeless saddles, but I wouldn't be able to give you any advice without a lot more information

Feel free to pm me if you want to ask any specific questions. Lots of people on here will tell you treeless saddles are the work of the devil

but tbh a lot of horses and riders find them very beneficial - each to their own really

it depends on a lot of things - what you want to do, shape of your horse, etc.
i will say that in saddles you really do get what you pay for, and cheap treeless saddles are not good imho.

Now cheap treeless saddles really are the work of the devil - I only sell expensive ones

There are so many thinbgs to consider that nobody here can really suggest what would be best for you and your horse. I too am a fan of treeless, but have no issues with treed saddles. Absolutely agree about cheap treeless though.

You need to try both and see what suits your horse, although there are more makes of treed than treeless.

I am not against treeless but beware of people that say they fit any horse, anytime. They dont. They have their place but because there isnt a tree to spread the pressure of the riders weight they can cause back problems, just as an ill fitting treed saddle can. And if the arch at the pommel isnt the right shape for the horse that can be a problem too. Another thing you have to look out for is the stirrup bars. Thats for 2 reasons 1) they can be square on some makes, so no quick release in an emergency and 2) They can cause a pressure point underneath.

So try both and see what suits your horse best. The more homework you can do the better
