Hello,

One I am sure that many of you have heard!
What saddles do people use on funny shaped tb's He is not narrow over the withers and is currently in med/wide, he also has big shoulders so cant have a saddle very forward cut!
He is currently in 2 Bates a dressage and jump and we are debating switching back to a GP, just wondered what people use?

We are going to get a fitter, but just looking into what others use!

Thanks

Ohh, check out a thread I did in CR a week or so back- our TB is v. similar, huge shoulders and although he's got solid withers, they're not disproportionate to his size. LOADS of good suggestions for jumping saddles on there...

I've got a TB with enormous withers and tried quite a few saddles on her. The only one I found that fit perfectly was the Bates dressage, so I gave up looking for anything else! She seems happy in it and I like it so we're sticking with that. If your Bates fits, can you just not get the Bates GP?

We tried the bates Caprilli GP on him and it was a really funny fit on him which was unusual! The dressage fits him well, but can't really warrant him having the 2 saddles anymore, and the dressage is too long in the leg for me, and the jump to short for my partner lol!
