Saddles stolen in Cheshire

Our small Livery Yard in Wilmslow was broken into on Monday night and all our saddles were stolen.All 6 of us are unable to ride at present so are absolutely furious.

2 were Fieldhouse, 1 a Jefferies (all brown),1 brown Ideal,1 brown Rider and Horse and one Black Country in black. All GP and 17"

If anyone is offered anything which resembles these please p.m. me.

I have contacted all local saddlers and Beeston but do not hold out much hope.

You have my sympathy. Keep your eye on Ebay too, check out Holmfirth sales if you are feeling brave and keep your ears to the ground because the police won't be much help. When mine was stolen from Sale, a few days later the police did a raid on a house in Stockport and found lots of tack. Didn't bother to notify me though. Nor that there was a display of recovered tack being held at a yard near Jodrell Bank a couple of months later. You didn't happen to have a livery leave quite recently did you? Or go to a show?

Oh no that's bad news - I'm also in Wilmslow so will warn everyone to take their tack home - thanks for the warning! Fingers crossed that you all get your stuff back soon.

There was a website which looked quite useful. its been nicked? Something like that? Might be worth listing everything on there. I keep promising myself i'll take detailed photo's of all my saddlery because if it's stolen and the Police recover it, you need more than a brief description to get it back!
