I have bought a wintec isobell (it hasn't arrived yet) and was just wondering whether these require any flocking/adjustment from a saddler or is the adjustabe gullet all that may need changing? The impression I get is that the cair panels will mould to fit him, is this correct?

That's about right, you can change the gullet, it only takes about 5 minutes & a cross head screwdriver to do it. A replacement gullet costs around £15 from a saddlers, they're colour coded to size. You may pick up the size you want on Ebay. It doesn't have to be new, old ones work just as well.

I ordered the full set of gullets with it, not that he is ever going to be anything but a skinny TB but who knows what I'll have in the future.

I believe they do have some traditional flocking down the sides (can't think what that bit is called at the moment).

I know a saddler has reduced this flocking on a friends Bates dressage saddle as it was too bulky and of course the gullets only affect the gullet and the Cair I understand is just under the seat area of the saddle and not the rest of the saddle. I'm not sure if the Wintec is the same though.

Overall, if you are not 100% I think it's best to get a saddler to recheck. Sorry, I know that this is not what you wanted to hear but just passing on what I've experienced.
