Saddles

If you own a dressage saddle and a jumping saddle, which one do you prefer to use when you go out for a hack? I prefer using my jumping one - though it certainly takes some getting used to when you've been in a dressage saddle for a while! I just find that, if the horse spooks, you can dig your heels in far more efficiently!

Dressage. Too much riding in my jumping saddle makes my leg position scrunch up so I feel odd riding dressage length again. But I'm too lazy to keep changing my WOW flaps, so if I'm in between jumping lessons/comps, I ride in my jumping flaps but with my stirrups down a couple of holes.

Jumping , i am long thigh to knee and just find it much more comfy.

Me too! it makes such a difference! I have a stubben monoflap jumping that I can also ride long in if I like. Can't justify two saddles I'm afraid.

Dressage saddle if I am just going on the roads and bridleways, GP if I am going across the fields.
