Ive got a young Andalusian who is proving a difficult fit. He dosent really have much muscle on his back and kind of drops away at the end of the saddle so alot of saddles and only tough a small area of his back. Does anyone have any suggestions? Was looking at Wow saddles, anyone got any opinions?

I think Wow would probably be a safe bet but make sure you get a good Wow fitter to either sort you a new one or find you a second hand one. They can pump up or decrease the Flair panels to fit your horse's back and hollow bits and when he changes shape they can adjust it again along with the head plate that changes the width.

Wow sounds like a good idea as it will be able to be changed to suit his shape as he muscles up with work. I'm not keen on treeless saddles myself, having tried one and been left with loads of problems with my pony's back (regretable cos she never had a back issue before), although I have friends that have torsion saddles and swear by them, and shires stock an interchangeable one. You could always try a korrector pad made by same people as the wow saddle which will help muscle development, under a normal saddle and may help even out pressure, or so they say. Mostly though sounds like you need to give him a bit more time to grow into himself. Have you thought about using a pessoa? Sorry loads of rambling thougts there, and envious of your having a lusitano.
