Just heard the very sad news that the local RDA group I help out with lost one of their lovely horses today to sycamore poisoning. Horses have been in the field for over 40 years.

I know there has been a recent thread on this but didn’t want to add to it as it was personal to the poster.

so very sad but I have a feeling there will be more to come.
The wind has been so strong here over the last few days, heaven knows how far the seeds have blown.

Very sad to hear. ?
These recent wild winds wont help, as theyre helicopter shaped to travel quite far.

You can get some hand held leaf blowers that also reverse and suck, for anyone wondering how to hoover them all up, on a budget.

Thats so sad sorry I have known people that have lost horses the same way, its strange I think some horses will eat them and some just don't I had them in my field a few years back and spent a lot of time fencing bits off, but I think some horses just won't touch them yet some will but you never know, but what if they change that habit so its just so unlucky and unpredictable.

Would a cordless hoover would do that job?
.

Thats a good suggestion as theres lots on the market now. Although the tube on leaf blowers has a 5/6inch diameter, so could suck up the bunches of seeds, as they often blow off sporadically singly or in bunches.
2/3 inch hoover tube size would get many smaller bunches and stray singles. The larger bunches are easily raked-up.
