Safety Stirrups

Just wondering if anybody knows if bent leg safety stirrups or peacock safety stirrups are better.
I have peacock stirrups on all my saddles but was wondering if bent legs are safer.

Apparently there is a weight limit on peacocks and they are meant for kids not adults. I have just got sprenger type ones as safer and less hard on my joints I hope.
