Hi All

Tonight I am a very very proud mummy

Dressage was by my standard fairly good for 41 nearly last but normal

Rather hot section Ollie Townsend, Lucinda Fredricks and the like, well I can dream

Warmed up for SJ and she started to buzz and a gap came up so I offered my self into the ring, but surprise surprise she stayed cool and jumped a very calm round and I even managed to pop in an extra stride in the related

Good girl Saf went clear

Went down to the XC early and only 2 there so warmed up and set off, took it steady as still sorting out brakes. The first 7 fences were pretty inviting and she really felt like she was popping in a even rhythm albeit a bit slow then came a biggish table, drop, rails, step to brush and the abcd sunken road complex, followed by the one I do not like a raised bridge to drop, another drop, two pig arcs on a curve, still going well to my next most hated fence the rider frightner open ditch brush

I kicked on and she sailed it clever girly

Up the hill to the new bit of the course for this year to a skinny log pile on an undulating left curve to an arrow head tripple brush, loads had run out so I show jumped the first set her up and she locked on, apparantly they could hear me down the hill telling her she was a fab girly

Last two now hanging log, step into the water and hanging log out to the last fence.
Yippee home slow but clear for our first point

Oh to top everything I was then stopped at the finish by BE official for a random drugs test

Very scary escorted back to the lorry watched us wash off and had to take her to the yard where Saf bless her peeded on command, get the results in 2 weeks. Apparantly they were doing 40 horses? Anyone else get done?

Thank you for reading about my good girl

What a fantastic result you must be so pleased. I am impressed about the drugs testing they would be quite a few hours waiting for my horse.

Well done! Were you in the IN again? I've not come across them drug-testing at BE ode's before. Think it's a good thing. Did they do you as well? I remember at one CIC** in Belgium F cut his nose and had to have stitches and drugs, we told the ground jury as ou have to have their permission, and they announced airily to us "oh we're not testing here, it's too expensive!" - but your entry still includes the medical levy at all FEI events! I did it 3 years in a row, and I seem to remember one year they forgot to hold the trot up, everyone was wondering what was going on! Talk about laid-back...

WOW well done Saf and Clare

How fantastic is that! I was planning to run Novice there - obviously didnt

Yikes - scary experience regarding the dope testing - PMSL at good girl saf peeing on command

Big hugs!!!! wooo hooo

Hi
Thankies. No IN at BCA but have entered the ones at Borde Hill and Tweseldown
ooo.gif

No they did not test me, good job I was shaking so much when I passed the finish they would never of got the needle in
tongue.gif
Did take me a bit by surprise when I was told.

Thanks V

Saf was a very good girl to pee and they actually did us a favour letting us in a stable with straw so she went immediately and saved her having to hang on till she got home

Still a bit scary

Get the results in 2 weeks.

Well done - you can't ask for more than a double clear - well a 20 dressage is nice but the jumping is the key!

Scarey on the drugs testing we got done at Pontispool one year and despite knowing there is nothing to worry about you keep going through what ifs! I presume we might get done at Weston next week we will see.

Good luck with the rest of the season and hopefully notch up a few more points.

Sounds fantastic. You must be so chuffed. what clever girls you are!

I got tested at tweseldown in foot and mouth year. My horse refused to pee - so got blood tested! Suprised they had a straw bed, as apparently some people would throw a paddy about dust! I hope they don't test riders - I would fail on the amount of caffeine I consume!

Hi

Who knows?
As far as I can be 100% we will be fine
smile.gif
But I really know nothing about what they test for or how small any traces have to be. She has been treated once by the vet this year for a kick and told the vet we were competing so at the end of the day trust them?
Maybe she has overdosed on the soaked oats diet from this web site as have never seen her look so good

Well done - that is a great result!

I thought I saw someone getting a blood sample taken - was very surprised at the time - didn't think BE bothered at PN / N level!

Had been contemplating clipping Lex before Holdenby but don't dare now - she sometimes needs a bit of sedalin to get her head done and I don't know if it would be through her system in time!

I'm sure there are loads of old horses at Intro / PN level that get a dash of bute from time to time. Probably not before time that BE are testing.

Having said that, however sure I am my horses are fine I would be nervous if I were tested - it only takes someone to mix up a feed backet....!
