Sales livery, has anyone had experience of this?

As above really i need to find out how it usually works for people. If its normal to be charged a percentage of the sale price and who pays for the advertising etc etc?
Any advice welcome!

At our yard you pay for training livery and 10% of the sale, don't know where you'd stand with regards to advertising costs though.

I sent a horse for sales livery earlier this year. I paid full livery cost, 10% of the sale price and was responsible for all advertising costs. Other costs included any entry fees, xc schooling fees and transport to and from the venues attended. Hope that helps. Some yards do a discounted livery cost for sales liveries I think, yard I chose did not. That said I knew exactly what was what and they found my horse a super home.
