is this a tooth problem? a horse at my yard foams at the mouth a lot when eating anything other than hay or grass... hard feeds or fruit her mouth just pours with foam... some of the food is just chewed up a bit and falls back out... any ideas? she is only 3 years old and had nothing done with her

It's called quidding and it's usually caused by a tooth probem. As C says, ned needs help fast or she will be unable to take in all the nutrition she needs and could drop a huge amount of weight very fast.

Thank you, I have put an offer in for her because her owner has just left her and cant be bothered for her... hopefully he will accept and i cant wait to sort all her problems out poor thing!
