Just wondered if anyone has heard of horses not swallowing when their bridle is on?
Since Nicky has had his teeth done he drools LOADS! There is the normal froth but he also seems to let saliva run out of his mouth. Is this making sense? It is hard to explain!
So anyway do you think it is possible he is not swallowing or is this normal? Any ideas appreciated!

Sometimes just after a horse has had his teeth done they are sore for a few days. Your dentist would probably have mentioned this, especially if there was quite a lot of dental work to be done. Hopefully, he will be ok again in a few days but if it continues, I'd ring the dentist as there may be a problem from the treatment.

unless your horse had to have really major dental work done i'd be getting someone else to have a look in the mouth for you to be on the safe side

Thanks he had to have a wolf tooth out and quite a lot of rebalancing as it appears he hasn't had his teeth done for many years. I just wasn't sure if it was something that can happen after a major reajustment in his mouth or if the grackle I ride him in (also just a recent addition) is preventing him from swallowing properly?

As he's had such major work done, I'd give him a few days off work, or at least, keep it to work that doesn't need a bit in his mouth. If he's still unhappy after that, I would get the dentist back x

Too much saliva, in a dressage horse for instance, can mean tension. So maybe the noseband is causing him problems. But if he has had lots of work done on his teeth I would take it easy for a few days anyway.
