Salivation on the bit

My horse normally produces an even amount of white saliva when schooling properly; however over the weekend she only produced it on one side.

I presume this is a reflection of my hands? Does it mean that I was perhaps being a little strong on one side?

It may need her teeth need checking, don't rule that out unless they have been done recently.
