salt lick string

Just bought some new salt licks and they have always had thickish rope with them but now seem to have string. Is this strong enough. Cant use the old rope as knot wont come undone. Could use some baling twine I suppose

Plait some baling twine first. This will make it a bit stronger. This is what I use. Not all licks come with rope...
 
I doubt if thin string would hold ours for very long :( The big girl can get very vigorous with her salt lick! I think if it was on string rather than rope it would be on the floor in no time. I would probably have to plait some bindertwine.
