So far so good :) They have called us a couple of times through the week with questions, is he insured, how does he travel in the car, they want to take him on a few days out through the school hols etc. They are working on his separation issues, rather than just ignoring it. They have been taking him for a good walk then leaving him for up to half an hour at a time to let him settle. So far he has been a model citizen, has formed a bit of a bond with younger son who is smitten with him and behaved very well. We are very hopeful that this is going to work out and still cant quite believe how lucky we were to find them. They know they can call us if they run into problems, we would still like to take responsibiity for any nasty decisions if they have to be made but for now, things are looking quite rosy for Sammie. Thanks for all your good wishes last week and your support x

Great news:) Sammie must "know" he needs to be on his best behavour. Sounds as if he could have fallen on his feet though:)

It sounds like they are dog savvy people and are doing their best to help him settle and its working.

What a weight off your mind and hopefully it will continue to be good news for Sammie.

To top off Sammies first week we had an email today showing him on his HOLIDAYS!! The family have taken him with them to visit a relative who lives near the sea and this morning they sent us a lovely pic of him splashing in the sea with the boys. He looks like hes having the time of his life, hes never been to the sea before!! It was Mums funeral today so this cheered us up, knowing the little guy was happy. Apparently he's going camping somewhere in August as well, we are expecting a postcard!!
