Hi, Cannot go into details but does anyone know of any horse sanctuaries which are taking old horses atm?

You wont find a rescue who will take an old horse on, even the sanctuarys will advise you to pts

I've been in a similar situation in the past, and the charities weren't interested, they're all full up and can only really take on severe neglect cases!

Im sorry about your loss, i would phone around the various charities and see if they can help. I would think it would depend on the size and how much care the horse would need i should think they would be more sympathetic in these circumstances than someone trying to rehome a horse because it could no longer be ridden
