In 2004, Sandro Boy covered 170 mares, and in 2005, 150. He is already the sire of three licensed stallions: Saccor (x Corrado) who was the premium stallion at Münster-Handorf and is now jumping S level; Sandro Man de L (out of a Landgraf mare) and Sandro Boy Junior (out of a mare by Montparnese). Two of his daughters, Simone and Sabrina, qualified for the Bundeschampionate.
Breeding record: Sandro Boy’s first few batches of foals already resulted in four approved sons. Saccor is in the services of the Brandenburg state stud in Neustadt/Dosse and Sandro Man de L is meanwhile stationed at a private stud in BadenWürttemberg, whereas Sandro Boy Junior and Sturm were approved in 2004. His oldest progeny are successful in showjumper tests at the elementary and intermediate levels.

Some info on his sire

I am sure there is someone on here that has had direct contact with an offspring.

If the semen is available through World Class Stallions then it should be of very high quality becuase of the high quality of service they demand from stallion owners. If you get it direct from Schockemole then it may be cheaper but the quality is less guaranteed I would imagine and that is the risk you take by buying direct.

Sandro Boy's semen is not the best quality (regardless of who the supplier is) and I guess you would need to double check the quality from whoever you get it through. That is why he has only covered very few mares. 150 - 170 is not that much mares for a stallion of his quality. One person we know abroad spent £24,000 trying to get mares in foal to him and did not get one pregnant!

We've used Sandro Boy semen and it was very expensive. If the mare is of exceptional quality then you could consider sending her to Schockemöhle for fresh insemination, but I wouldn't bother using frozen, it is of VERY poor quality.
We used Sandro Man De L, who is very nice, he was jumped by Johannas Ehning (Markus Enhing's younger brother) up to Small international and then he was sold to Holland last year. He's jumping in Holland at National 1.35 - 1.40m with winning points.
We have a lovely filly from him who we are pleased with, and still have a couple of doses is frozen semen from him.

Know of a very nice Sandro Boy colt foal for sale in Germany... Price is in the 5 figure region.

Thats one of the reasons i would like to use him, a sound investment, but reading the posts above it may cost the same to buy one rather than breed one!!

The 2 mares i have just now are not good enough for Sandro Boy but i am on the lookout for an exceptional mare with Sandro Boy in mind.

The resulting foal i would be keeping, possible stallion or broodmare prospect eventially...obviously only if good enough to make the grade.

We are pleased to announce the birth of Dream Boy M by Sandro Boy x Chin Chin x Grannus. He has Grannus twice in his pedigree. He is turning black and we hope he will grow up looking like Grannus. Our web designer has updated our site with his photos. Take a look at www.StarStallions.com. Be sure to turn on your speakers when watching the videos. There is music.

Best regards

Hi,

I own a Sandro Boy x Carthago stallion, 3 yrs old. He has a fantastic character and is super to handle. He is allready broken in and jumps fantastic under saddle. His mother is also the mother of Silverstone ( approved KWPN stallion) and 2 other approved stallions. This stallion has such a great future in jumping! He is for sale in the elite auction of Fences next september in France. If anyone wants to have a look at him, you can watch him at www.fences.fr, he is horse number 1, Alain. XX
