Sandy goes swimming

Well, her feet get wet at any rate We've been trying to get her to swim for a few days - she isn't shedding since she was spade despite extreme brushing every day so she's getting very warm. She likes being hosed off so we've been taking her to the river with YD because he loves swimming. She was terrified at first but seeing YD going in and out she's gone from hiding behind us to standing at the edge barking then on friday she walked in

Her back end is getting loads better - I know it still looks awful but she just isn't put together very well She's also started acting like a dog on walks - she follows scent trails and generally has a good time now. I'm taking the pair of them on to Cleeve Hill tomorrow for a little stroll so will try and get some pics

She's the most rewarding dog ever - everything that seems normal and dog like to us is totally new to her. I was gardening for mum the other day and left the garden gate into the field open and the two of them tootled off for a little walk on their own (field is secure) - a couple of weeks ago she wouldn't have even thought about it, walks were for toileting only.

I cannot imagine a dog like that, all the rescues I have had havent been that bad? But like you say, how incredibly rewarding, she is gorgeous

The ones we've had have all been fine too - maybe its becase she was so confused when we got her or because she's older. She's gone from being scared of the grass to bouncing all over it
