Has anyone used Saracen Shape up? I won a bag in a magazine comp and as my horse is a good doer, gradually swapped from basic cubes to this. She has a tendency to be hot but I presumed this feed would be ok as you feed it in small quantities. After a couple of days she started being stupid in the field and a real handful to ride. Have just taken her off it and she seems calmer. Could the feed have caused this? When I looked at the ingredients, it has sugar beet, micronised peas and barley all of which I guess could have a heating effect? Or maybe it is just the change in temp?!
