Sarcoid experts, please cast your eyes over these pics!

I'm glad you have said that. I have been doing loads of research and seems that treatment can sometimes make them a whole lot worse! I am going to keep an eye on them and ask the vet next time he's out.

Thanks :)

but also, leaving them can mean they get a lot worse sometimes very quickly and then need more aggressive treatment. :( wouldn't hang around getting a vet to have a look.

Yeah looks like a sarcoid to me. I would get your vet to have a look and see what they say. My mare had a nodular sarcoid and I vet advised monitoring it to see what happened. It did grow from the size of a pea to a baked bean so it was surgically removed last Nov. We just keep a eye to see if she gets anymore but so far she has stayed free. So let vet look and they will advise the best course of action for you.

My mare also has a nodular sarcoid, she had it removed 2 years ago but it unfortunately grew back, 3 times the size, I often wonder what size it would have been had the vet left it . I wish I had listened to gut instinct, I changed vets and had another vet look at it ...and just several weeks ago, I started her on the Liverpool cream . It's looking alot worse but it's to be expected, she may need a second dose of the cream . She was in quite abit of pain but she's beginning to look and feel much better :)

Whatever treatment you decide to go for, talk it over with your vet :)

We had a nodular sarcoid removed by laser surgery from our mare a month ago it started of pea size but grew bigger over the Summer so it had to go. The hole was quite large after removal and is slow healing. Using a cream which was recommended on the forum and is helping.
