Hi, My horse has sarcoids he's on Sarc-ex (for 1 1/2 months) which im told should show if its going to work or not by about 3-4 months, the main sarcoid im worried about is where his girth lies, its about the size of a pea. My vet has given me Fluorouracil cream to try and i wondered if anyone else had tried it and what the outcome was?
Thanks

Would that be the efudix cream? If so i used it on my old gelding, on a small area of verrucose sarcoid. It went crusty and horrible for a good few weeks firts but saw eventual hair regrowth in the area so it seemed to do it's job. I've since sold him so cant tell you how it's been long-term but was doing well when i sold him. I think it's used pre-treatment a lot of the time too, before using AW4 creams, cryo etc...

This is Effudix 5% I think. I'm using it at present ona 5 year old stallion who has 2 sarcoids on his sheath and one onthe scrotum. It's not AS severe as Liverpool Cream (which is why we chose it in this delicate area) but it does cause severe inflammation and discomfort (which makes life interesting with a 17hh stallion!!)

We're treatingthe sarcoids for one week - then waiting until things settle down - then resuming. After 2 sessions (one week each) one sarcoid has gone and the other 2 are MUCH smaller than they were. I'm persevering (if I don't get my head kicked in!)
