Ryu has had a little lump under his thigh since I got him, I've kind of being in denial about it as I suspect its a sarcoid, anyway I had another look as it Last night (you can't really see it unless you get down on the ground) anyway its definately getting bigger

, and I'm really worried. Hes not bothered by it at all, I'll try and post some photos over the weekend. Anyway I'd be interested to hear form anyone who has sucessfully treated a sarcoid with cream, particullary camrosa, there seems to be some horror stories about them being removed. I'm desperatley worried this is going to completely devalue him, would you buy as horse with a sarcoid? I'm so sad my super model horse has a blemish

Morning B.

I have had 100% success rate with Thuja 30c cream/gel. You will need to order it from health food shop as this potency is not normally kept in stock. Good luck. It has always worked for me, even on angleburys.

My horse has sarcoids he has radiotherapy on his eye but the rest still remain! Im begining to think it is a myth that they go away! He will throw some himself but they always come back! He is not troubled by them at all so i tend to leave them alone would also love to hear if anyone has some tips too!

If you take some photos of it and send them to Derek Knottenbelt at Liverpool University he can make up a cream to get rid of it. Its quite potent stuff though so he insists its only applied by a vet and it does need regular applications to start with but I've had very good success rates using it to treat sarcoids. Should be able to claim for the cream and vet visits on your insurance though.

Hiya. I tried Camrosa but with being a shavings bed it was so messy and I just didn't seem to get anywhere with it apart from the sarcoid going more ulcerated, which is apparently what it is meant to do. Anyway after speaking to someone else who had tried Camrosa but it didnt' work for her she advised me to call my vet who uses some type of radioactive gel. The vet came and put a little bit on the sarcoid and within about a week (maybe two) the sarcoid dropped off and totally gone. This only cost in the region of £20. It is fantastic stuff. I'm sorry I don't have the name, but if you need anymore information let me know and I will ask my vet.

Good luck with whichever way you go.

we have had a few removed over the years and currently are treating a horse with them above it's eye.
If it's in an accessible place the best route is freeze it off, a mare who had one on her stomach was treated by our vet when she came to be covered, he simply gave her a local, froze it off, within a week it turned red and sore then dropped off leaving not even a scar.
The ones round the face are the most difficultm and it's just cost me over £1200 for our current one, she needs one more treatment and hoepfully that will be gone.
The latest research seems to indicate they are caused by flies spreading them from one horse to another, which makes sense.
The ones we have treated have all gone after various methods, never heard of thuga gel, am off to look it up now!

Start using Global herbs sarcex. A friend of mine has used it and the sarcoid has all but gone. I also know others really rate it.

Im in a similar situation, horse has a wart type thing on his chest, prev owner thinks its a wart, but I think it could be a sarcoid. Only small and he has hard it for a couple of years but getting the vet to have a look at it on fri because I want it frozen off if its a wart.

I posted about my success last week.

I used restore for 2 weeks and MSM for 100 days and am on a 6 month course of Sarc ex (all global herbs) You need to use loading doses though and continue for 6 months, even after it has gone. The theory is all horses like humans have there weak spots and my horse's is his skin. The global herbs treat the sarcoid and horse holistically and repair its immune system from within. Not cheap, but I am glad I went down this route.

The sarcoid (small and warty) has shrunk a lot . Because of recommendations on this site I bought Thuja cream, which i have just started using it alst night, so fingers crossed.

Don't ignore it. The advice I have read is they don't go away and it is best to do something now, before the flies come.

Good luck!!
