There are absolutely loads of threads on here about sarcoids and I can't possibly read them all! So, what I want to know is - what are the options for treating sarcoids? What has worked for you? And what hasn't worked? Sarcoid is on the base of the ear if that makes a difference.

I have treated homeopathically for sarcoids which worked for me and my horse. You need to do lots of research as this may not suit your horse. I would definitely speak to your vet, keep an open mind with the advice you are given and go with what you think is the right route of treatment for your horse.

I used terra terra cream but it didn't get rid of it completely. Liverpool cream is very expensive, as the vet has to apply it every 48 hours, big call out charges!
My horse's sarcoid was banded today.
You (well your vet) should never cut off a sarcoid.

It is quite a big sarcoid - ignored by previous owner. So I am likely to go with the most aggressive treatment first and just get rid of it. How much is liverpool cream without the vet call outs and charges for application?

Chico has just had his Liverpool cream treatment - the cost of 3 tubs of cream was £162 - then had call outs for 6 visits.

My insurance will cover all but my excess.

Not as expensive as I thought it would be, had been told Liverpool Cream would be £500 but it clearly wasnt!

Blood root cream from vets is good, works pretty well but my boy had a really stubborn sarcoid so he had liverpool treatment, its now gone and has never returned.
Dont mess with it tho.Get the vet to do liverpool tratment or blood root cream.
