Hi, My horse suffers from sarcoids. He had one removed off his face as a youngster.
He has one on his lower chest & one smaller one near his elbow. He has had months off due to being diagnosed with ringbone/having remedial shoeing etc. Bought him back into work last wednesday, I am just walking him out for 6 weeks. Friday, I noticed a small scabby/lump type thing right where his girth goes. It seemed to just appear like overnight, as I check my horses over everyday so it definitley wasnt there previously. Im worried it might be a sarcoid (in a very convenient place!) but his other 2 developed gradually, not overnight. Any chance it could be a girth sore due to not being ridden for a while? Or can sarcoids develop that quick? Have tried to look at it properly but its in a very awkward place to view so not sure what colour it is. It feels like a small lump and its crusty.
Thanks
