Has anyone had sucessful treatment for sarcoids in the sheath?

If so, what treatment worked?

My boy is on borrowed time if we don't find something soon. He had surgery to remove them last year but they were back 4 months later.
Sarcoids burst today.

Have you tried the 'liverpool cream'?
My horse had dreadful sheath/inside hind legs/tummy sarcoids tried a number of things(Camrosa did get rid of a few) but the brilliant liverpool cream sorted the lot out & we've not had a problem since.

Also why did he have surgery?,surely thats quite an unusual way to treat sarcoidsas i belive it can encourage them to spread like wildfire.

I guess if they had reached the point where they were blocking the ureter, there would have been no choice. What do you mean "the sarcoids burst today"? Sarcoids are skin cancers and can take many forms ie flat, nodular, etc. But they don't burst like boils. Some grow huge and are engorged with blood so that any knock can cause profuse bleeding but don't know what you mean by burst? As Whizzer says, Liverpool cream has a good success rate but as it is so toxic, it might not be appropriate if the sarcoids are in a difficult place or are on extremely sensitive tissue, perhaps already weakened by surgery.

Can you give us some more info hun? Or a pic? x

I have posted this before I have had great sucess uslng aloe vera gel on sheath sarcoids my boy had them hung like bunches of grapes from his sheath some were open and bleeding others were closed lumps I applied aloe vera gel in copious amounts daily much to his disgust he hated it but they cleared up that was four years ago he has some small lumps appear each year but they get the same treatment at this moment he has nothing visible on his sheath

our boys sarcoid erupted and was oozing blood also there were white hard nodules in his the size of a tick, we have just sprayed with an antiseptic blue spray to see if it just dries up and drop off otherwise we will start on the liverpool cream.

One of ours had a lump removed from the penis last year but the problems have re-occured. We are now considering partial or complete amputation of the penis. They were blocking the urethra so we had no option other than operate or euthanisia, and for a young talented horse we didnt want to give up on him right away....
