I had the vet out to my mare today for something and whilst she was there we chatted about her sarcoids - she has a small cluster at the base of her ear. I said I wanted to treat them with liverpool cream and vet agreed that was a good approach, so I said I'd take some pics for her to email to Professor Knottenbelt and could she get me a quote for treatment and ring me later.
She rang me back earlier and said that she thinks my mare had previously been treated for the same sarcoids a few years ago using liverpool cream, on the assumption it is the same horse - sounds like it is. She suggested laser treatment may be the best option.
So guys, do we hit the sarcoids with liverpool cream again (she needed sedation at every application last time) or go down the laser route - what are your experiences of lasering sarcoids? They are nodular and in a small tightly packed cluster.
