Anyone have any experience of this?

Sarcoid is about the size of a 2p coin (maybe a little bigger ) and is a verracose (sp) type. Was treated with L'pool cream in January, very little reaction from horse (tiny amount of swelling that lasted a few weeks if that, and barely any soreness) and a top layer of dead tissue slowly peeled off over about 4 months leaving a large chunk of untouched sarcoid underneath.

Vet wants to give it another go as he was surpised and disappointed by the results.

Anyone had a sarcoid that required more than one treatment and how sucessful was it?

I did some house sitting this summer for a client of mine who had 2 seperate treatments of the Liverpool cream for sarcoids first treatment failed, second treatment worked I think the second lot of cream was a bit stronger. As far as I know they havnt come back and he had 3 on his flanks, the hair has never grown back though.

My horse had a few and one didn't respond the first time but did the second time. I understand that sometimes it works better on slightly larger sarcoids as there is a bigger area to put the cream onto. Also if there is a strong reaction/swelling etc then that's better. It may also have been that the cream dropped off too soon after it was applied.

I have no experience of Liverpool Cream, but thought I would let you know that I treated my mare with Camrosa ointment, about 8/9 years ago and the sarcoid fell off and the hair grew back, Hers was bigger than a bubble gum ball but not as big as a golf ball and was ulcerated, it took about a month of applications and happened quite by accident as I was just using it for fly prevention.
