Sarsgrove Harriers - Anyone been out with them?

Have been asked out with the harriers tomorrow down in Cattistock country. Just wondered whether anyone had ridden with them before. Have been out with them on foot but not on a horse.

Am taking my horse who I'm hoping will benefit from a full day's hunting without lots of other people there.

Yep i go out with them a bit - lovely pack to go with nothing to racey !! Very sensible and lovely staff etc

Chris Bowld who hunts them is the father of a great friend of mine hence how I got the invitiation. Am taking ex racehorse for a fun day out. Bit concerned about prospect of very upright rails and stone walls to jump though. He def. hasn't jumped any stone walls out hunting!!

If you can follow JTR if he is out if not Laura the field master is lovley seek her out and stick with her - Mines an exracer and follows well he copes with walls well but they have non jumpers to if needs be .
They are with us on monday but i have a very dodgy leg at the mo seriously am hoping to be fit as they finish soon and are disbanding

Had a great time. There were nearly 40 people out so that was a bit of a shock!! Had some good runs and horse jumped fantastically although found the hills down at Abbotsbury quite hard work. He jumped his first stone wall and lots of post and rails and a big hedge with ditch behind. All in all a good day!! We left at about 3 as horses were pooped. They carried on till 5. Have fun on mon!!

Glad you enjoyed - I cant go due to my leg not working properly at the mo for some reason !!!! Torn muscles or something ?
