Well I had my lesson and boy o boy I am still aching like mad ha ha as it was our first time I had the instructor pop on to see what he's like so she can direct better, well he went beautifully for her, although she did have to make him work hard the aim is to get gim softening and coming down nicely on the bit, as he is so used to sticking his head right up in the air, he was fab, after about 5 mins he came very soft.
I got on he was so light in the hands although still trying to maintain the softness and getting him coming round in himself was a mission for me, as I have not ridden like this for sometime, but I did it hence why I am hurting still now, using muscles I never knew I had ha ha.
We just worked on the walk and small amounts of trot, lots of bending and circles, serpentines figures of eights etc so he could get the bend and softness.
We ended on a great note, poor Finn was pooped at the end bless him was so proud of him.
Same time as my lesson going on there was a digger literally right next to the school where the muck heap is removing it..... not a batter of an eyelid from him this made me SMILE lots
so so proud of him, we have some homework to get on with til our next lesson in a couple of weeks.
No pics though sadly
