My little mare is developing a capped elbow caused by the way she tucks her front feet up when she sleeps - not hard floor - I had one that did this long ago and she used to wear a softish sausage boot at night which helped it getting any worse. Looking on line they all now looked to be very hard rubber anyone got anything better before I try to make my own.

thanks for your interest. The first link did not work and I like the Calcutt ones but at £63 it might be cheaper to get my saddler to make one for me. I was hoping that someone who uses the rubber ones for the same purpose might reply:-)

little mare is a Welsh Sec.B and very lazy likes sunbathing in the paddock barefoot :-) I have been having a tidy up in the tack room and I have found an old sausage boot that I didn't know I had, I will try that for a few nights to see if she complains. Watching her sleeping last night she does curl up some of the time, horses who would have them :-)))
