Do you actually want sausage boots (which are leather rings, stuffed with filling, about six" wide) or the rubber fetlock rings?
Sausage boots are used in the stable to stop the horse capping an elbow when he lies down, the fetlock ring to prevent a low down brushing injury. They can be found in most tack shops. Sausage boots are quite rare now, I've just purchased a vintage pair on e-bay.

Hooray! I've found another person to join my sausage boot / ring boot plight.

Every time I go into the local tack shop I want to tell the lady on the till that the boot labelled as a sausage boot is in fact a ring boot but I think she will (quite rightly

) think I'm off my rocker.
