I'm devastated, I've made the decision to pts my dear old terrier tomorrow. He's 15 years old, I bred him and he's been with me from day one. I bought him back to the UK from Australia when he was 2 years old, poor little monkey didn't know what hit him and got a stinking cold within a week! He wore coats every winter and grew hairy, very hairy! He came racing with me all over the Uk, he liked Newbury best..
His back legs are giving up and he's looking at me, like the it's time he was going.. I only lost my Doberman in August, 10 years old, to a lung tumour and now for the first time since I got my first dog aged 19, 17 years..I will be without my best friends.. They have been my one constant, always there and with abudants of love. I feel so blessed to have had them grow up with my children, for they have been their best friends too.
So tomorrow night, please say a little toast to my dear old terrier Sammy and to my Ruby Roo, who we miss so much. And give all your dogs a extra big cuddle xx
