i new this time would come...i just didnt think it would be this soon...ive outgrown my pony not just in height but with my riding too.but i love him and i no he loves me so its gonna be hard to let him go and everytime i ride a pony he comes over and watches, ears priked and looks at me as if to say ride me and when he sees me with a head collar he comes running over and i love him sooo much but i cant think about not riding him anymore as weve had such fun together...i dont want to let go...not yet anyway :(

I have had the same thought about my daughter riding pony, hopefully got s few more years yet.

I am thinking of training him to pull a trap, could this be an option for you?

If not vet vet and vet again, anyone who truley wants him will not mind at all, and will hopefully set it in theind of any future owner if the life he has been used to.

Sorry that is all my advice, except to add, that hopefully he will bring another child all the happiness and memories that he has brought to you. (((( hugs)))))

Forgot to add, that they do move on very quickly, our ponies old owner came to see him ( something that I am more tha happy for her to do) and she was amazed that he was not at all bothered that she was there, and only had eyes for me. I truely believe they live in the present

he is 17 and has navacular so i dont think there would be a point in selling him as he will retire in a few years because the vet said he will get arthritis but i suppose i could loan him out to the trekking centre which is were he is kept that way he can be ridden by children but it will only be light walking maybe a bit of trotting hack but it still doesnt stop me feeling bad or stop the pain :'(
