Hiya I was wondering if anyone else could help me...
I own a lil cob with VERY hairy legs-- i usually clip these but I've noticed he has scabs on his right foreleg, just behind his knee. I'm currently treating it by washing the area with hibiscrub and then allowing it to dry-- then adding tri-adcortyl cream which was recommended by a vet to my instructor- who then recommended it to me. I've been doing this for a good few weeks now and his leg does seem to be clearing up but I was just wondering if anyone else has heard of using this cream on horses? It's only available on prescription for humans and it cost me a fiver.
Also if anyone has any other remedies for scabby legs I'd love to hear about them! Apparently pigs oil and sulphur is meant to be good? But I don't know where I could get these and would appreciate any heads up!
