First off if your at all squemish I wouldn't look at the pic's, they are a bit horrid tbh
Angus has always has problems with the back of his front legs, with it being worse on the left leg. It doesn't seem to cause him any pain, he doesn't seem to notice it at all. The vet has looked at it, gave me some cream which did nothing.
I will probably clip his legs again when he gets clipped next.
Any advise on treating this? Not sure what it is really but its a pain, it doesn't get any worse or better. It just look horrid.

Have you had mites/lice shecked for?

Is it seasonal?

Is it itchy?

I use head and shoulders sensitive - rub I'm really well and then use and human hair comb to loosen scabs off and then rinse well. I use flamazine from vet or sudocrem on sores underneath.

Oh poor lad - i would give the legs a good wash with some hibiscrub - clip first if you want but just make sure your not nicking the skin when you clip , run the clippers downward on the legs ( sorry if i sound a bit patronizing , i certainly don't mean to. Depending on whether you are right or left handed , it's always a possibility that he's had a nick off the clippers and got an infection.) I would then get some stuff called Aromaheel , it's made by equinat and you can get it online - i've used it for mud fever , with fantastic results , you just apply it over the area even on wet legs. I know this might not look like conventional mud fever , but the scabs look the same , this product is really natural and even if it's just some sort of skin infection , it should do the trick.

Looks like the same scabs mine used to get from mites! I agree with clipping and then washing with Hibiscrub but you will need to do it often to prevent it coming back. Pig oil and sulphur is good for it and so is MSN cream. You can also get injections to help stop it but you would have to get the vet out for that.
