Well, the old boy is getting there in terms of weight gain and attitude

Well he has got scabby fetlocks, they looked inflammed but were not hot, so we put sudacrem on yesterday, and they already look much better.

Tomorrow I plan on cleaning the fetlocks and putting more cream on, is this the right thing to do?
 
are they white? franks white fetlocks get particularly scabby so I tend to sudocreme them. The chestnut ones are fine

yes.
i would try what febbe said 1st because horses can get mud fever even from dew,it`s not just a winter thing.
