Scam/fraud from Nigeria Alert

I lost my beloved sweet b&w pointer Dash while on holiday in Cornwall on 12 June. We are doing everything humanly possible to find her. We were contacted b a man (found to be operating outbox Nigeria) who had seen our poster on www.dogslost.co.uk (an excellent site). He claimed to have Dash and over the period of a week which included clever photo manipulation, ended with hm threatening to take it out on the dog if we didnt supply him with personal details (passport numbers, full address, photos of me) and transfer money into his account. The police don't seem too interested, but I think people should be aware. I knew from the start it was a scam, but it didn't stop me hoping against all hope he might actually have her - I can see someone being taken in my this. Itbis very cruel.

Dash is still out there - Please keep your eyes open for a adult b & w pointer bitch suddenly appearing in your area. Much appreciated. By the way, how do you load photos here ?

Sorry to hear about your dog, but glad you didn't fall for what sounds like a heartbreaking scam

Scum of the earth. I mess with scammers. Go along with them and get them to send in-depth emails etc, then give them a tonne of false details and giggle to myself at being a 'time-waster'

So sorry you are going through this Don't ever underestimate scum. They know exactly who to target. I really hope you recover your dog, nothing worse than not knowing.
