scanning/ultra sound

Im having vet out tomorrow for lameness issues on soft ground only and to check mare for possible season /ovary problems.

Can anyone tell me if the ultra sound is portable and the cost.

My vet has a portable ultrasound, not sure how much cost would be though.

Feel sure that mine would have portable if they are available.Not sure if its something they carry around all time for routine visits though.If We pay on day of visit we have free call out so need to know how much cash to take.

my lad had an ultrasound with a portable unit and think it was around £80 - I was suprised at how reasonable it was.

Thanks might be same machine with different probe as she will need internal.Hoping its not neccessary.

My vet has a mare scanner & a scanner for legs etc, tendon scan was about £135 if thats any help
