Scariest most ridiculous thing your horse spooked at?

to be fair I also thought it was some nutter waiting for us in the undergrowth

Leading out a riding school hack of kids. A man and a woman up to no good in a bush. My horse wouldn’t go past for love not money so had to politely ask them to come out of the bush. Both came out in a various states of undress. The kids couldn’t wait to tell their parents when we got back to the yard

Went out for a hack today, OH riding Ozzy and me behind on Snoopy. (After the napping episode, Ozzy is much better now and hardly stopped at all).
We decided to go a bit further down the main road through the village. It was going very well indeed - cars, vans, motorhomes, no problem - until an elderly lady turned up on a mobility scooter. She was moving from one side of the road to the other at impressive speed (don't think I've ever seen one of those scooters go quite that fast!)
Poor Ozzy, don't think he's seen a mobility scooter before. And he clearly didn't understand why it was weaving about.
Having said that, he didn't jump/spin/run off, he just tensed up, had eyes on stalks and moved sideways.
The scooter slowed down slightly when it got near us - I said to the lady, sorry, this is a new horse, he's still getting used to things...
At which point she whizzed it up to maximum and started weaving it around a bit saying, 'Oh, I see. They are beautiful creatures though!'
