Scary coloured horses

My youngster saw his first coloured horses today and completed flipped out. I can remember when a friend brought her coloured cob to a livery yard, all the horses were astonished - never seen a coloured horse before. Has anyone else experienced this? Must the pattern of marking I guess.

Mine looks a little like a cow....maybe they think it's a cow!

Ive just had exactly the same experience but my boy is 12!!
Fair do's he could only see the top half of the piebald but he grew to about 17hh, was snorted and spinning to get away from it.

My boy is on a farm with cows, but they are all one colour and not patterned. He likes them!

My ex polo pony was also terrified of coloured ponies for a while, I do think he thought they were cows and he was scared of those too until we moved to a place where there are 4 pet cows!

The first time my piebald cob met a friends skewbald pony he couldn't take his eyes off him - we were having a lesson together and my cob has never been so forward, racing around the arena to catch the pony!
