I'm looking for a saddle for the pony so have a look near enough every night.
I found this and was going to ask a question to the seller, but strangely don't feel particularly encouraged by the advert!! It sounds so aggressive, I'm scared I might get a load of abuse from the seller!

I've sold loads of old horsey stuff on ebay, but never had any abuse - is nasty abuse part of the ebay world now??
 
I've sold stuff on eBay recently too, on the whole people have been really nice! I wonder what abuse she has been getting, it sounds odd!

I'd just email politely and ask your question, also reply to say thank you if they send a message back (assuming they don't start ranting that is!), hopefully you'll get your answer and the saddle. :)
 
Wow! scary woman got out of bed on the wrong side! I actually find myself laughing and bemused as to what sheep have to do with it :p

*backs away from ranty seller* why the heck do we need to know her daughter's ages? And the "my other account has over 2000 + feedbacks. .. well all it on there then love, and I'll pick it up in my other car which is a porche...
 
no this is purely a seller who wants to sell her saddler, rather than have people bid and not buy, want to try it, or just make silly offers.......
been there had that....... we live in sherfield.... not sheffield! small difference of a few 100 miles!
 
Don't understand why she should be bothered about only having 33 @ 100% on her feedback - I have 32 @ 100% and don't have anyone take the piddle :D

Looks like she has been messed around and so re-listed without sleeping on it first :D

Although having issues with a newbie seller (although seeing this ad makes me wonder!) clearly not happy that they forgot to put a reserve on an item meaning I have paid 1/5th of the value of the item so they are dragging their heels...
 
I'm not going to bother contacting her - I did a search on "working hunter saddle" and it came up in the results. I had to open the item to see the size of the saddle and as it is I need a 16.5 or small 17" anyway in wide/extra wide. If she has so much experience how on earth can't she know the size of the saddle - she doesn't seem to know if it's a 15" or 16"! It's not hard to measure is it?
 
I would just keep looking and even without the ranting I doubt that saddle was made on this continent.

My thoughts too! I'm not in any rush - I just keep looking for something that might be suitable. My last saddle from ebay was an Ideal and was absolutely fantastic!
 
I know where she is coming from though - I sold a nice Albion on ebay and the purchaser claimed the tree was broken. I knew it wasn't and offered to have them return it and refund the price of the saddle (which was too cheap anyway) if they had changed their mind. The abuse I got was unbelievable - how DARE I sugges they had just changed their mind!! And when the saddle was returned (at ebay's direction) it had creases across the seat where they had over flexed it numerous times. My saddler opened it and there was nothing wrong with it (I had to shout at ebay a lot!!! but they refunded me the total including cost of saddlers time) but to this day the purchaser put bad feedback on my account and I can't do the same to them. So I do have some sympathy with them.
 
If she has had people trying to buy cheap or generally being 'smart Alec' because they think she is a newbie and therefore naive, she should just share their posts and reply with a sarcastic comment !
That's what I did when I had people offering me half of the realistic price for a decent item on eBay.
 
There are some very wierd people on Ebay! (And a few not on Ebay, too;)).

I recently purchased a pair of slippers. They were clearly several sizes too small even though I had specified what size I wanted. The seller, a retailer, swore blind it was not his fault as he had sent what it said on the box! (There was no size marked on the box). Oh well, I did get a refund....but am still short of the postage. Such is life.

Re: Saddles, the best way to sell is to include lots of photographs with a tape measure along side and state "No returns". That way, there can be no doubt. If they still grumble, tell them to put it back on Ebay.

Unfortunately ebay can force you to issue a refund even if the buyer has simply changed their mind.
 
Hmm I didnt think her scary. A bit too yacky perhaps. .too much information re her children yes.
She did put a smiley face too. I make a point of only buying from power sellers though.
