School surface help!

Any advice out there??? l have a 20x40 outdoor arena with wood bark surface. It has been down for 5 years with no problem whatsoever. Now some of the wood bark has broken down and it needs a top up(it has got deep in a couple of places) Do l use wood bark again or could l use rubber instead??

up to you really.
chip is cheaper, but rubber needs replacing less..........

plus and minuses to both!

as above the wood is cheaper (we are currently constructing a woodfibre surfaced menage so its nice to hear yours has been a success!) & is also none toxic to the environment.
if you want to top up with rubber the rain water that runs off is classed as toxic so you will probably need to check where it is running off to & if the council will permit you to use rubber (we arent allowed it hence the woodfibre surface)
