Hello, I have recently got a horse on part loan, I have been riding for quite a few years but I am just getting back into it.

The yard has an indoor school so I am starting to school her but get a bit bored so need some new exercises to do, can anyone give any advice and does anyone have any dressage exams examples that I could use to practice from can you tell me where they are on the internet?

Any advice will be greatfully received.

I keep my gelding interested by doing lots of serpentines, figure 8s, 10 and 20 metre circles and also using poles to encourage extended paces or raising the poles slightly at alternate ends to encourage a higher step as he tends to drag his toes. I'm sure other people will have waaaay more ideas than me though :) Good luck with your new horse!

There is a really vood book called 101 schooling excersises which you might find useful. Its got a good variety of excersises including ridden work, pole work etc and explains tbings really clearly (including instructions on distances between the poles). If you look on the website "dressage diagrams" you can get all the dressage tests in either written form or in a diagram format.
