ive just managed to get her jumping fab and everything but when we do flatwork she doesnt accept the bit meaning i dont think a egg butt snaffle is the write bit for her anymore but i was wondering what you would reccomamend and is it my fault she isnt accepting the bit

Try a nice fench link, they are much nicer than what you are using. Dont get loose ring, they pinch and make a mess if you horse opens its mouth.

Get a friend to watch you and comment on your hands, a lot of people make the mistake of not giving a firm enough contact and the horse is then tense not knowing what you are wanting.

Really depends what the problem is. It could be a teeth problem that isn't so obvious when jumping as she's more enthusiastic, or could be that she's a bit less keen when doing flatwork so not really working through properly. You'd need to be a bit more specific as to the problem for someone to be able to give advice.

I don't agree that loose rings pinch though, they don't on the majority of horse if you've got the correct size - the benefit of a loose ring is that a horse will tend to lean on it less.
