Schooling with sheep in the same field

They make great dressage markers except when the one who is supposed to be X keeps moving

The schooling paddock is between the big field and the barns and the dozen sheep with lambs in tow are allowed free run of the lot. They are quite tame and used to Che but tonight they really took the biscuit. We had to keep changing direction cos they refused to move off the track, the lambs wanted to join in and run along behind and Badger the sheep who started off being X kept wandering off to find more grass. How am I supposed to turn my little TB into a superstar dressage diva with all this to contend wth

Seriously, he was such a good boy, didn't bat an eyelid, it's good de spooking practise for hacking out I suppose!!
 
i use (never managed by the way) to play sheep jumping when out hacking. you would be trotting/cantering across a field and they all seem to stagger themsleves just in the way of a straight line
