any tips on making schooling fun please?

and tips on encorouging(sp?) to bring my mares head in please, without useing alotof vices like draw riens etc as i think it defeats the object.

i find loads of pole work can liven things up!

I always find it easier to get them on the bit in walk - do small circles and rein changes at a pace you can control easily; it gets their heads used to being there. Then try it in sitting trot..
I have had to school on some right dullards, and going back to basics always helps!
