Hi Guys :)
Can anyone suggest anywhere that I can have a good schoolmaster lesson (Jumping for Showjumping or Eventing, and maybe a Cross-Country lesson if anyone does that?!) in preferabley Cornwall, but if not Devon/As close to Cornwall in the South West as possible?
Think it would really help my riding, and benefit the way I train Barney :)
Thanks all!

Hi

I went for some jumping and flat lessons at St. Leonards on the edge of Launceston some years back whilst I was on holiday down there (know the area well after 20 years of regular breaks there!). They had some lovely, quality horses and I also had a XC lesson on one of them. I believe they'll be either in the process of building, or have already done so, a BE course as are running BE90 and BE100 there in July. But there is an existing course with a banks complex and water jump. Really enjoyed the lessons.

Hi,
I know of St Leonards as planning to go BE there but didnt think about them for lessons, so thank you!:)

I've heard that Lucinda McAlpine does schoolmaster lessons, not cheap, but apparently very good.

But obviously one would need to have a "feel" for her sort of stuff.......

But I chuck this in the pot just in case :)

Hmm...never heard of her, interesting!:)

Verity Perry at Rosevidney does...

I know Verity and used to have lessons with her, so wanted to try something different, but thanks :)

Any more suggestions?

I have gotten hold of one place but they said I'd be better off doing Junior Academy which atm isn't possible for me as the reason I want a school master lesson is because Barney isn't ready, and I want to have a lesson over Pony British Novice height +, but don't expect them to let me jump massive :P
