I need some schoolmaster lessons to sort out my bad habits.
I have been to Dovecote in Chard a few times - it's brilliant but just too far away.
Can anyone reccomend someone who does schoolmaster lessons in West Wilts / East Somerset / N Dorset area?
I see on the BHS website that Rowan Chambers does schoolmaster lessons - does anyone have any experience of him? any idea of prices?
I see Claire Lilley is fairly close to me but her prices seem a bit much for me.
I add I am probably classed as a novice rider.

Yes - I like Dovecote...the amazing feeling when for a fleeting second I get it 'right' and the lovely response his horses give - but it's 1 and a half hrs away (I wondered why until I looked at the map and realised I was practically in Devon!) Something like that but within 1 hour's journey time would be ideal.
I was also thinking of Pippin Equestrian - what are they like?

I know Rowan and she is great - small set up but good teacher.

How close are you to North Brewham? If not to far you could try Equi-sense. I know for a while they were without a school master but I'm sure they've got one again now.

Whoops - Rowan is a SHE (just as well I found out before calling!)
I am very close to North Brewham - every time I've looked at Equisense it's been lessons on your own horse only (and I don't have one) but I'll have another look.
Thanks

Rowan is fantastic - improved my sister's riding no end. Rowan also did a lot of schooling with Squizz - rode him really nicely and sympathetically, but getting the very best out of him.

It might be worth phoneing Equi-sense and asking rather than going by there website as they are really not that good at keeping it up to date.

Im sure the last time i saw Shena KK (about 6 months ago maybe?) she told me the horse she was on was the new school master.

Big grin - I've finally managed to get hold of Equisense and booked a lesson for a fortnight's time. Really looking forward to it, and conveniently 1 week before my next dressage test. (now hear's hoping I don't make too much of a fool of myself!)
Thanks for your help
Luc
