My OH's horse was diagnosed with RAD at the start of the year, it wasn't overly bad but was showing slight heaves and had a cough. Don't know for sure but the last lot of hay we had was quite dusty so think that may have been the cause. The vet put him on Dilaterol and the symptoms eased fairly quickly. He had 2 bottles of that from the vet (around 3 weeks worth) and was then fine. About 3 weeks ago he looked slightly 'heavey' again - rape fields around us were particularly strong so might have been down to that - so put him on the NAF respirator boost on the loading dose and again symptoms eased quickly. (decided to try this as a lot of people had said it works as well as Dilaterol/Ventapulmin) Have now kept him on this at the maintenance dose.

Just really want to know peoples thoughts on the RespirAid? Seen good reviews on H&H FB page but has anyone used both of these products and if so what one did you find better? The RespirAid is cheaper but if it doesn't work as well as the Respirator Boost then will keep him on that.

Hi did you have any joy with this? I've currently got my mare on NAF Respirator boost a she is recovering from a respiratory infection which has left her with a bit of a cough and have been looking into other supplements out there, which Respiraid was one of them.

We've been lucky enough to take part in some of the trials Science Supplements did. Can't rate them highly enough not just for the products, but for the honesty you get from them. If you call them, they will even get Dr Marlin himself to talk to you about the science and the studies.
Get them to send you the trial data, it's impressive.

:)that's great lucylockett, thank you, my mare is on antibiotics at the mo, under the vet, but am looking for something to help keep her in check, prevention is better than cure as they say!!!:)
