Scoobie
Got Scoobie back in April (15th) 2011
History is not best she full breed border collie farm bred mum and dad both working dogs
She was bought by a man who bought his girlfriend the dog she wanted, he’s got home with scoobie only to find her with another man. Scoobie was thrown into a shed that was 2 by 4 with no windows for a week before I was told by a friend of a friend about her a went to get her. Was told she was 9 weeks old

She had been fed weetabix for a week, was scared out of her mind and woman asked if I had come for matilda ***k face!

Brought her home fed her some proper food and spent while getting to know her
She clicked instantly with the kids and was soon booked in for her jabs

At her first jab was confirmed she was under weight and 12 weeks not 9 but healthy.
2nd jabs she had gained a lot more weight and vet was happy with her so micro chipped

Since then we have come on wonders she recalled on her first walk loves exploring and water dog for sure! She’s really come out of her shell

Don’t know if its coz she’s leggy but to me she looks thin so thought I would ask on here
She’s et recommended amount of bakers puppy (dry)

Anyways pictures

Sorry pictures aint good hard to keep her still!

She looks absolutely fine weight wise, more than enough coverage, she's looking very well indeed.
And well done for giving her a better start.

But she'd be better on Weetabix than Bakers, no offence :o

Try Skinners or the Jollyes/Pets@Home own brand ranges, they're still affordable but less guff in them.

funny you should say that i was at paws and horses and they did raw meat selection i wanted to try out for both my girls sec ill find leaflet!

Typical cant find it! anyways they come frozen and you defrost it as and when u need it guy talked me through it and looked really good :) so gonna try them on that

She looks fine, as CC suggests def get her on a better quality food obs raw is great or as mentioned a better brand of dry like skinners duck and rice or fish 4 dogs or what CC said.
I cannot see the last pic to well as she is far away, but from what I can see she actually looks to be on the verge of over weight, so I certainly would not worry she is thin. (unlike myself):o my dogs are very lean though:p

She is a lovely looking girl:)

ill try and snap some better ones most hes miles away or in water or running towards me.

Thank you as i have her all day never notice a big diffrence, not till i look through all pics and then it hits how much shes grown and come out of her shell.

OK, as Cayla said it and I was too scared :o she's on the verge of being tubby so DON'T PANIC :D

I get the little frozen tripe packets from Pets@Home. It's about a tenner for a tray of twelve, that plus cheapo packs of chicken wings from Tesco and occasional oily fish/eggs/handfuls of dry food (Skinners Duck and Rice) do my five month old just fine.

Even if you have dry days and raw days, can highly recommend it. The tripe stinks but it's worth it :)

I see a trip to pets at home tomorrow then :) thank you both!

What a horrible start to life she had. I remember when you first posted her puppy pics she has grown and is developing into a lovely dog. You must be very proud.

Im very proud she such a clever girl and after having my old girl for 9yrs i can see her keeping the old girl fit :D

As the others have already said it I can be brave and say I would prefer to see a pup of her age with a little less weight, and not eating Bakers. :p
I didn't realise she had such an awful start, poor girl, you have done really well with her.

Hi Michelleice
Lovely (and lucky) pup and she looks very well. I was at Paws and Horses last weekend and I have the leaflets from the people with the raw food you mentioned - they were based in Sittingbourne. Website www.barfpetfoods.co.uk. For my two it worked out at £4 a day so I thought it quite expensive. PAH may well be cheaper.
Mine are both on Skinners Salmon and Rice(and the younger one did well on Skinners puppy food).
